Linusさん の Fast  Reading 能力にびっくりしました。

Another part obviously ends up being that I’m just a fast reader. Oh, I know people who read faster, but if it’s some easily read sci-fi or fantasy, I’ll read at a pace of 100-150 pages per hour, and you simply cannot distract me while I’m reading. Try to talk to me, and I won’t hear a word.

So most books I finish in a single sitting, and weekends I might read two books in a day. The more sciency books I read take longer, but that may explain why I probably average about three books per week, and sometimes do many more

The secret to reading quickly is to read a lot, so that you just have practice. But it’s also important to not actually sound out the words. If you read by actually "hearing" the words in your brain, you’re not going to read a whole lot faster than somebody could speak. You want to get away from that trap, and end up seeing a whole line at a time – or at least large fractions of a line.

The other side of it is that the text really has to ‘flow’ well enough that you can fill in the gaps. I’m personally convinced that I anticipate most of the words, so a lot of the ability to read quickly is not that I can really read a whole line at a time, but that I can see a reasonable fraction, and the rest is "prediction", together with a weaker form of "reading" that is just enough to confirm your prediction.

まとめてみますと

• 練習（沢山読む）
• 集中
• まとめて読む。一つずつの言葉でなく、行全体の意味を読む。
• 内容を予想。重要な部分だけ読んで、他の部分は予想する。

明日の通勤電車で自分の読み速度を測ってみたい。

急速な経済成長を遂げてきた中国に、今、深刻な問題が浮上している。大学を卒業する学生が直面する、"超氷河期"ともいえる就職難である。中国政府の発表によると、去年大学を卒業した５００万人のうち、就職できなかったのは１４４万人。全体の３割に上る。中国ではこの１０年、大学進学希望者の急増を受けて「ビジネスになる」と判断した学校側が大学の数を大幅に増やしてきたが、その結果かつて"エリート"だった大卒が巷に溢れることになった。特に今年は、折からの金融危機の影響も受け、就職戦線はより一層厳しさを増しており、農村の貧困から脱しようと、子供を都会の大学で学ばせるために多額の借金を重ねてきた親たちにも衝撃が広がっている。中国経済を牽引し、地方からも多くの学生が押し寄せる商都・上海で、昨年冬からスタートした学生たち就職活動に密着。毎年１００万人規模の余剰労働力を生み出し、社会不安の要因にもなりかねない大就職難時代を伝える。

自分の就職を思い出しました。うちの大学がちょっと特別で、僕が選んだ専門以外、全て５年制でした。その専門を選んだ唯一の理由は、それだけは４年で卒業できるからです。早く大学を出て、妹の学費を僕が負担するようにしたかったです。番組の中の一人と一緒ですね。僕は大学のアルバイトでシステム開発をやっていた会社に入社を決め、早々に内定を貰ったため、就職はそんなに苦労しなかったが、同級生の中で、まさか番組のゲスト楊さんのコメント通り、満足できる仕事が見つからなく、そのまま大学院を選んだ方が多かったです。

恐らく今も同じかと思います、僕らの高校までの学習は、目標は一つだけ、いい大学に入ること。本人も、両親も、先生も、皆そう思います。日本の学生達の部活動とか、修学旅行とかを見て、日本の学生は本当に幸せだと思いました。

番組のあのまだ就職できていない学生、頑張ってほしいですね。いい仕事が見つかるように。

I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I’ve ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That’s it. No big deal. Just three stories.

２週間ぶりに水泳に行った。

実家ではすぐ近くに川があって、よく遊びに行ったが、泳げなかった、実に恥ずかしい。

今も家から歩いて10分でプールがある、今回はやるぞ！今年の目標は泳げること。
